The event is funded by London Metropolitan University Transformation Fund. Transformation Funds are intended to develop new collaborative ventures to translate research into activities that align with the University’s strategic priorities, particularly under the ‘Giving Back to the City’ and Empowering London strands.

Dr Antanina Garanasvili was awarded the University Transformation Fund. The event benefited from support by Professor Doris Schedlitzki and Anna Kamyk.

Aim of the event:

To disseminate the results of economic study “Illicit IPTV in Europe”  and organize relevant discussion leading to future research.

Objectives:

• Disseminate results of the study “Illicit IPTV in Europe”.
• Increase impact of the study by engagement in the workshop as impact-generating activity.
• Raise awareness of the Internet TV online piracy.
• Achieve two-way exchange of knowledge by expert discussion.
• Figure out the most adequate avenues for future research.
• Inform the journal article “Internet Television Piracy in Europe: influencing factors”.
